  • Cité de LEspace

    Recommended by Gemma White

Centro Yoga Om, Vilanova i la Geltru Image

Toulouse is jam packed with Museums, some of which are ideal for kids including Cité de l’Espace. It is full of hands-on exhibits and brimming with modern technology. For the entrance fee, visitors to Space City get the chance to dock a space shuttle (not a real one, obviously – it’s just a simulator) and visit the Mir space station high up above the earth. It’s very difficult to miss on the city outskirts, as it’s signposted by a 50m-tall space rocket. Budding astronauts will love it.

The tram was put into Toulouse in 2010 and runs from Arenes up to Beauzelle. You can feed the ducks in the pond when you arrive.

    Comments:
“My daughter says ‘I want to go on the tram, please!” It’s only been in place in Toulouse for about a year so there is still the novelty factor. Far more fun than any car ride, it doesn’t really matter where we go, she is happy!”

    Comments:

"I just wanted to write and thank you both on behalf of my entire family for the wonderful time you gave Daniel and Madeleine during the My Fair Lady and Rock Academy weeks this year. We are all so impressed with your hard and dedicated work and the results you deliver. The teachers are fantastic, the animateurs and - trices super-helpful and the entire experience is simply inspirational. What I find especially impressive is how you foster a collaborative, harmonious and fun atmosphere from the get-go without in any way diluting the sense that the kids are there to work! Be assured that spending time with Beauville Arts is now a fixture in our calendar, much as it is for scores of other families year in year out. I only wish I could have had something so wonderful when I was a kid back in the 18th century! Once again, thank you. And see you next year, if not before" (Andrew, Fin, Daniel and Madeleine, Jan 2013)
