“Children play and practice movements for an hour. There is an active, play time followed by music with singing. Full emphasis is on the children, to encourage their development while building their coordination and confidence. My little girl loves it" (KH, June 2011)

    Comments:
"We love going to this park because there's something for everyone in the family. Our toddler enjoys the smaller playground equipment, and there's space to practice on little bikes and scooters. As there are no large established trees it is not so good for the hot summer days, but great any other time of the year." (JB, Mar 2016)

  • Parc Des Rives Du Loup, La Colle-sur-Loup

The park extends over 32 hectares within the communes of Villeneuve-Loubet and La Colle-sur-Loup. The river that runs through it is sourced from the alpine foothills near to Grasse. there is a river walk suitable for wheelchair access as well as the opportunity to canoe and rock climb.
Chemin de la Fuontsanta, La Colle-sur-Loup

    Comments:
“It is hard to find nature walks that are accessible by pram. This a lovely tree lined river walk that you can do with your baby without the worry of too many people and and the noise of traffic. There is a tranquil spot on the river that you can let your little toddler throw their first pebbles, my 15mth old boy loves it" (BR, Sep 2011)

"Julia runs a very good baby massage class: fun, interactive and interesting. I have learned how to massage my son, and he really enjoys it! It is a very good way to know each other, it is our little moment. The class has also allowed me to meet an other young mum and her little girl, which my son really likes. We always look forward to the next class, where we can all share our experience and learn something." (C & J, Nov 2011)

St Pauls is now into its nineteenth year of special Monday and Thursday morning get-togethers for parents (or carers) with infants and pre-school age children, run by Mrs Vicki O'Shea and with the support of community volunteers.

"I don’t know a single expat family who hasn’t met most of their close friends over the years under her maternal gaze– both me, my sister and my mother have all made our closest friends through the group – most of my parents circle of friends (around 15 couples) met there!!  Sandra has helped thousands of women meet people in those lonely few months in a new country. It is run twice a week with lots of toys and snacks for toddlers in a safe place (the library of a church - but don’t be put off - its not at all a “churchy” group!) – where mummies can meet and integrate – no organized activities just a time for socializing and playing. Sandra is much loved and a bit of a saint – she’s watched so many kids grow up and heard so many expat stories! They do a legendary xmas party (where I think even my dad has been roped in as Santa!)" (JC, Jan 2014)
