    "Moving my oldest daughter of 15 years to a new country and school provoked a huge amount of anxiety in me. there were many black days where I felt I had made the wrong move, particularly with reference to her. She was lucky enough to be enrolled in the American School of Grenoble which being an American based programme gave her lots more freedom than her previous girls only, uniform wearing school in the UK. She was also taught intensive French and took some lessons in the French host school. All this in the end gave her huge advantages and experience, she matured so much in those years!" "We chose that school because we like the personal attitude of the teachers and staff, and also the smaller-sized school provides security for the students. At the end of their studies the boys will have a BAC with International Option, which means that they will have the possibility to attend either a French or English University"

    * An integrated approach: focus on the child’s physical, emotional and social development as well as their education,
    * Work is like play: children learn best when they are enjoying themselves
    * Each child treated with respect, and the same in return
    * Total immersion bilingual teaching in French and English (Spanish possible)
    * A workshop every afternoon, and one educational visit per quarter
    * Flexible hours for extracurricular activities
    * Parental support and development

    ”Bilingual teaching is not just about learning a language but also the culture and the people; it opens one's mind to different ways of thinking and of approaching life. In today's world, having two languages is very often a minimum requirement. Besides this, an indepth understanding of a second language and culture is a great social and economic asset. In our school, we believe we provide your child
    with the ideal environment and conditions for him to learn both English and French as mother tongues in a natural way “Maud Ray Assistante de Direction (April 2011)"

    " We found the Biot school very good in terms of class sizes and dedication of the teachers to the children. For us the jury is still out on the French education. In the international section they do 10 hours extra work a week with english, history and geography. Our daughter is thriving on the high work load and managing well. For our son who has just started college this year it has been very tough. From what we have seen from others too is that boys find the education much harder here. The main focus seems to be on the academics and everyone is expected to progress at the same rate which of course does not always happen. If they dont they can end up redoubling the year, which I think is totally demotivating.... Also in the French system activities such as sport art and music are very much down to the parents to organise in the limited spare time that the children have left at the end of the day or the weekends" (JN, March 2011)
