This charming tea room and restaurant is a haven for anyone wanting to sample home grown, organic produce with a real charm and friendly atmosphere. Run by Irish mother Lisa Clisson O´Bierne, the venue is ideally located in the centre of Rennes. Although quite small, the downstairs area is really child friendly with a small play area for kids and colouring pencils for little ones to draw whilst you enjoy a healthy delicious organic lunch or a tea time treat of scones, carrot cake or kumquat cheese cake. There is a large selection of teas to sample to make it the perfect place to stop off after a hard morning of shopping and seeing the sights.

El Negocian is situated in Rennes town centre. The restaurant offers free parking at night time. The restaurant is a buffet of foods from all over the world or you can choose from the Tapas section. Prices start from 13,90 euros for a 3 course meal and is free for children under 105cm (about 5years old) and is 8,90 euros for children under 135cm (about 10 years old). The restaurant is open 7 days a week at lunch time (12 -2) and in the evening (7.30 - 10.30). On Sundays afternoon, there is a seafood buffet.

A welcoming bar/cafe which serves good food with a open atmosphere and just next to the Musee de Beauxs Artes in Rennes. Set up as a corporative, there is often live music events in the daytime and a really cheap child friendly menu.

Traditional Breton creperie with real charm and very accommodating staff, high chairs, kids portions and in a lovely old building. Great traditional yet organic ´crepe´ menu, high chairs, space for push chairs and very flexible attitude to menus when you have kids in tow.

Buffalo Grill is a family restaurant which is open 7days a week from 11h00 - 23h00. They offer childrens menus which come with a free gift! There are cowboy hats for all of the family and on the back of the menu there is activities for the children. Everyone is also offered a free salad to start. There is a play area inside for the children and also has free Wifi access. They also do childrens parties.

Le Péché Mignon is an italien restaurant. They are open Monday to Friday at lunch time and dinner time and Saturday dinner time but this must be reserved in advance. You can get a 2 course meal with coffee or cider from 9.80 euros or a 3 course meal for 20 euros. They serve the usual pasta and pizzas as well as crepes. Children are welcome.

The Creperie Sainte-Anne is one of the oldest creperies in Rennes. They have a large choice of crepes and gallettes on offer and these are made right infront of you! There are two terrasses to choose from if you wish to dine outside. The creperie is open Monday to Saturday from 12h - 23h. A 3 course meal ranges from 12 - 20euros.

Fuji is a Japonese restaurant and is one of the only japonese restaurant which is owned by japonese people. The food is good and there is a good variety at reasonable prices. Lunchtime service is quick and the restaurant is usually full, so it is best to reserve in advance. It is open Monday to Saturday 19h - 22h and Tuesday to Friday 12h - 14h. A three course meal ranges from 11 - 27 euros.
