"An American style grill with generous portions of good quality food. The service was fast so the children didnt get hungry and grouchy. There were displays for them to look at, models of aeroplanes etc which made it fun. Being on the same industrial estate as the swimming pool and the bowling alley means you can make a complete day of it" (JC, Nov 2010)

"Lots of meat to enjoy and child friendly food such as sausages. As it is part of a hotel there are garden and a terrace that the children can wander round in. A nice warm atmosphere – mainly due to the giant fire that all the meat is cooked on!"

"The Chinese restaurant opposite Jardiland in Laval is great with kids – the buffet a volonte M-F is brilliant value at a tenner a head or so, and my kids adore the fish in the floor that swim beneath the table – plus of course a volonte dessert is always a winner. And so much nicer than Mc Do who have abandoned their ‘healthy’ options in Happy Meals no more cherry toms and carrot sticks " (RQ, April 2011)

"The lovely staff in the Etoile du Bonheur dont mind my little ones crawling amongst Jaja’s carpet of flung noodles and prawn crackers and the atmosphere is busy and accomodating – and they get a hot flannel, a free lollipop and year of the something or other calendar at the end, which is better than a balloon on a stick. Well, they think it is anyway !
