    Two parks in one – Amusement park with rides and attractions and aqua park for water fun. Plenty of restaurants and picnic areas. Opening times vary with times of year. Based at Axe St-Malo, near Lanhelin.

    Domaine de Tremelin: In Broceilande country 30 minutes from Rennes, this is the 2nd most visited tourist attraction in the Ille et Villaine region. Plenty of fun activities for young kids: "Escaladarbres ciruits" (ages 3 and above), pedalos, boards, canoeing/kayaking, climbing, mini golf and paintballing. Relaxing place for parents and those with small children. Camping avaliable.

    Open all year round this park is different from your average theme park as it involves following clues for a treasure hunt around all the different zones of the park. Following the adventures of Enigmus (the book seller adventurer) you will experience worlds and times as diverse as ancient Egypt, Asia and the mediaeval and Celtic periods. Based at Janze, 15 minutes south of Rennes.

    Set in the grounds of a beautiful castle La Bourbansais Zoo is involved in protecting endangered species, there are over 60 species to discover and several roaming animals (including lemurs and kangaroos) for the kids to get up close to. Situated in Pleugueneuc in between St Malo and Rennes.

    The Adventure park is situated in the trees and has different activities for adults and children from 5 years old. The park is open from April every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays. There are more opening hours when the season starts.

    La Baulle Garden is the garden of a chateau which was built in 1620. The gardens have been renovated and now have a passion and originality, expression and transmission of love for harmony between traditional architecture and contemporary art. There is also a labyrinthe and an open air theatre in the gardens. There is also access for wheelchairs and prams. It is open everyday from March 15 until November 1: 10.30-18.30 and prices are between 7 and 9 euros and under 10year olds are free! You can also stay in the Chateau de la Ballue all year round.
